Protection and styling services for Canton drivers
Paint protection film (PPF)
Paint protection film is a clear urethane film applied over your paint. It takes the hits that would otherwise chip your hood, bumper and mirrors: gravel off I-275, sand and grit from winter roads, the stuff a truck throws up on Michigan Avenue. Most modern films have a self-healing top layer, so light swirls and scuffs fade with heat from the sun or warm water.
You can cover just the high impact areas, the whole front end, or the entire car. Clear gloss film keeps the factory look. Matte or stealth film turns gloss paint into a satin finish while protecting it at the same time.

Ceramic window tint
Ceramic tint uses ceramic particles instead of dye or metal. That matters for two reasons. It rejects a lot of infrared heat without needing to be dark, and it doesn't interfere with your phone, GPS or keyless entry the way metallic films can. It also doesn't fade purple after a few summers, which is what cheap dyed film does.
Michigan has specific rules on how much tint you can put on each window, especially the front side windows. We explain them on our Michigan tint law page so you know exactly what's legal before you choose a shade.

Ceramic coating
A ceramic coating is a liquid coating that bonds to your clear coat and leaves a hard, slick, water beading layer. Dirt and road salt film have a harder time sticking, so washes are faster and the paint keeps its gloss longer. It doesn't stop rock chips. That's the job of PPF, and the two work well together.
Car wraps
A vinyl wrap changes the color or finish of your car without touching the paint underneath. Gloss, satin, matte, color shift: the options are wide, and when you want the original color back, the wrap comes off. Partial wraps like a black roof, a hood, or mirror caps are a lower cost way to change the look.
Why people in Canton protect their cars
Canton drivers put real miles on their cars. Commutes on I-275 and M-14, errands up and down Ford Road and Canton Center Road, kids' games at Heritage Park, trips to Ann Arbor or Detroit on the weekend. Then the winter shows up, and the roads get salted and covered in grit for months.
All of that wears on paint, glass and interiors. Rock chips on the front end and dashboards baked by summer sun through untinted glass are two of the usual results. Neither one fixes itself, and repainting a bumper or replacing a dash costs a lot more than protecting them in the first place.
Choosing between PPF, tint, coating and wraps
These services solve different problems, and people often mix them up:
| If you want to... | Look at |
|---|---|
| Stop rock chips and scratches on the paint | Paint protection film |
| Keep the cabin cooler and block UV | Ceramic window tint |
| Make washing easier and keep the gloss | Ceramic coating |
| Change the color or finish | Vinyl wrap |
A common combination on a new car is PPF on the front end, ceramic coating on the rest of the paint (and on top of the film), and ceramic tint on the windows. You don't have to do everything at once. Plenty of people start with the front end and tint, and add more later.

What to expect when you get a quote
Every car is different, so we don't quote blind. To give you a real number we need to know:
- Year, make and model
- Which service and how much coverage (for example, full front PPF or full body)
- For tint: which windows, and whether there's old film to remove
- For coatings and PPF: the condition of the paint, since some cars need correction first
The easiest way is to call or fill in the form with your vehicle details. If photos help, we'll ask for them.
Frequently asked questions
Is PPF worth it on a leased car? It can be. Lease returns get charged for chips and scratches on the front end. Whether the cost of film beats the cost of those charges depends on the car and the lease terms, so it's worth comparing before you decide.
Can I get PPF and ceramic coating on the same car? Yes. Coating can go on top of the film. It makes the film easier to clean and helps it stay glossy.
How dark can I legally tint my windows in Michigan? Michigan law only allows film on the top 4 inches of the windshield and of the front side windows. The rear side windows and back window can go darker, as long as the film isn't reflective. Full details are on our Michigan tint law page.
Will a wrap damage my paint? On healthy factory paint, a wrap applied and removed properly shouldn't damage it. Repainted panels or paint that's already failing can lift when the wrap comes off, which is something to check before wrapping.
Do you work on Teslas and other EVs? Yes. PPF, ceramic tint and coating all apply to EVs, including Teslas and the stainless steel Cybertruck. See our Tesla and EV PPF page for more.
